English Tableware, with a little care, will give a lifetime of service and pleasure. WASHINGAll your china can be washed in a dishwasher - to a maximum temperature of 65 degrees centigrade - ideally using a liquid rather than a powder, as these are less abrasive. Ensure you load your dishwasher so that the pieces do not touch each other. When washing by hand, avoid the use of scouring pads or abrasive washing agents. Most stains can be removed by soaking the item in warm water before washing. Really stubborn stains can be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution for up to one hour. STORINGThe surface glaze used on English Tableware is extremely hard. However, the front of one plate can be scratched by the back of another, so care should be taken when stacking them. Try not to slide them over one another, and place a paper napkin between each plate. Cups should be stored or hung from a cup hook, not stacked, as this may weaken the handles. MICROWAVE OVENSTableware with a gold or platinum trim must not be used in a microwave. If there is no precious metal decoration, your Tableware is totally suitable for use in a microwave oven. COOKINGIt is perfectly safe to warm your tableware in the oven to 100 degrees centigrade. All English Tableware is also suitable for use in the freezer. However, Fine Bone China should NOT be used for cooking purposes. Many ranges of Tableware are, on the other hand, fully ovenproof. Please contact us for further details.
