Melamine
The story of Bunnykins began in 1934 with a young nun in an English convent school, Sister Mary Barbara , who imagined and illustrated the exploits of the Bunnykins family to entertain the children in her class. Her father, Cuthbert Bailey, who happened to be the manager of Royal Doulton's Burslem pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, recognized the potential of combining her drawings with childrens plates, bowls and mugs, resulting in the birth of Bunnykins Nurseryware. Today, Bunnykins is also available on a selection of durable, dishwasher-safe melamine items, for everyday use.
