Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro & American Express. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or securely over the Internet.
When we receive your order, we will reply confirming its receipt. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling
As a high street specialist china shop, we hold good stocks of all our core ranges. When items are in stock, you will receive your order within five working days.
If any item is not in stock, we will provide an approximate delivery date, but you may cancel your order if you would rather not wait. Some items are specially made to order by the manufacturer. This can occasionally result in extended delivery times. As always, we will never charge your credit card until your order has been despatched to you.
For UK orders, we use a 48 hour delivery service. For all overseas orders, please allow four working days for delivery. For your security, all deliveries must be signed for. Please use an alternative address if you are not going to be able to receive the parcel at your billing address. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses.

Guests purchasing items from a Louis Potts Gift List will not be charged shipping costs.
It is very important to provide full and correct address details, including a contact telephone number. Should a shipment be returned to Louis Potts & Company due to failure of delivery, we reserve the right to make a charge for the reshipment of goods.
If all the items in your order are in stock, we offer an optional next day delivery service - for the UK mainland only - costing £10. Please email for details of express delivery to other destinations.
All orders are fully insured and extremely well packed - wherever possible, recycled packaging is used. In the unlikely event of a breakage, please contact us within 48 hours and retain all damaged items and all packaging, as our delivery service will require proof of claim in the form of a photograph of the damaged item. We will despatch replacements free of charge. Should we require the damaged items to be returned, we will contact you with a returns number together with instructions for despatch/collection, and refund all return postage costs.
If for any reason you are not happy with your order, you may return it to us for a full refund. Items must be unused and be returned in their original packaging within five days of delivery. If the goods do not reach us in a perfect and saleable condition, and in their original packaging, then your right to a full refund may be affected. Unless the goods are faulty, however, outward or return shipping costs and customs duties are non-refundable.
No items may be returned to Louis Potts & Company without our prior agreement. Please email us to obtain a returns number and instructions for despatch/collection. Returned parcels remain your responsibility until their safe arrival with us. Louis Potts is not responsible for the loss or damage in transit of returned goods. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Although we work closely with our couriers to ensure the best possible service and convenient delivery times, we regret that delays sometimes occur which are outside our control.

In some cases, particularly where patterns have been in production for many years, manufacturing processes may have changed. This can lead to minor changes in shape or pattern. We have been selling many of our ranges for over forty years, and are familiar with all the detail changes that have inevitably occurred. If you have any doubt on this matter, please contact us for advice.

Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. Very occasionally, orders delivered to non-EU destinations may be charged import duties. These are the responsibility of the purchaser. Your local customs office will be able to advise you on this matter.
